4x5, and 8x10 can produce digital files of varying sizes and qualities. Scanning of these media is accomplished with a variety of flat bed and drum scanners and starts @ $50.00.

Can be accomplished with digital cameras of varying qualities. I use Canon Cameras, Hasselblad, and Betterlight Imaging Systems to photograph ( scan ) fine art.
As with traditional photography, the larger the file size the better the quality, and the more expensive the process.
